American Rottweilers were originally bred for size

The key difference between American and European (German) Rottweilers are their physical attributes. American Rottweilers were bred to be bigger, which came with the unexpected consequence of these dogs being aggressive. This has earned American Rottweilers an unattractive reputation — but the same is not true of European Rottweilers.

European Rottweilers have strict breeding standards

Rottweilers imported from Europe have met stringent breeding requirements that we simply don’t have in the US. European Rotties have complied with high breed standards that include appearance and temperament. Purebred German Rottweilers tend to be far more friendly than Americans due to these strict guidelines. That’s why we import all of our purebred Rottweilers from Europe, and all of our puppies have grand champion bloodlines.

The Deutschhaus Difference

Instead of raising American Rottweilers, we import all of our adults from Europe, and only use Grand Champion Bloodlines.
